Years 7 and 8

As well as an introduction to BTEC, students will also continue to build on their core PE skills learnt in Years 7 and 8.

- Methods of training
- Anatomy and physiology
- Leadership in sport
Years 10 and 11
Year 10/11 Core PE students chose different pathways of activities to follow throughout the year.
Students who choose to gain a qualification in PE will study Pearson level/1/2 Tech Award in Sport.
Pupils will study three units of work:
- Preparing Participants to take part in Sport and Physical activity
- Taking part and improving other participants sporting performance
- Developing Fitness to improve other participants' performance in sport and physical activity
How will I be assessed?
Core PE pupils will be assessed on both effort and progress throughout the year.
Those studying qualification will complete two coursework assessments. The third assessment will be in the form of a written exam.
