Multi Academy Trust Update

Dear Parent/Carer

I hope you are having a good week and this email finds you well?

Following the Trustee decision to move forward with the proposal for South Craven to form a new Multi Academy Trust (MAT) alongside the Pennine Trust in Colne and Pendle Vale College in Nelson, I wanted to give parents full details of the consultation and engagement process that took place before the decision was made.

The link below will take you to the dedicated school webpage about the MAT proposal, which now contains two new documents for parents to read:

  1. A detailed engagement / consultation report with full details of the activities completed in all the schools involved and the feedback received.
  2. Appendix 4 – Q&As received with details of the questions asked and responses given in the online surveys and face to face meetings.

Webpage: https://www.southcraven.org/stakeholder-engagement/21120.html

There are a number of additional appendices included in the engagement / consultation report, which are available upon request. Please email Jess Robinson, Headteacher’s PA on j.robinson@southcraven.org if you would like to receive a copy.

The feedback received enabled Trustees to make the decision to move forward with the MAT proposal and complete the application, which is now with the DFE. This feedback has been taken onboard by the steering and working groups, who are moving the project forward and will be considered as things develop further.

We now await the result of the application and continue to work to ensure that the new MAT has a positive impact on our school and students. As I said in a previous email, there are still many decisions to be made and lots of work to be done before the final decision to form a new MAT will be made. I will ensure that parents are all kept fully informed as the process continues.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.

All the best,

Martyn Hill

Headteacher
