Information Technology (IT) involves the use of computers in industry, commerce, design and the arts – in fact, almost every aspect of modern working life.

In Sixth Form we offer an exciting programme of study that enables you to explore the fundamental knowledge of IT, including the role and implications of using IT systems, cyber-security threats and how to manage attacks. This course will also develop your skills in creating websites to meet specific purposes and managing data through relational database solutions. It will enable you to progress to a wide range of higher education courses in IT and Computing, or go directly into employment.

If you are interested in learning about IT systems, cyber security, website creation and database management, this course is for you. Alongside other fields of study, this course will give you the opportunity to progress to a wide range of higher education courses in IT and Computing.

The Extended Certificate is equivalent to one A Level.

Grade 4 in GCSE Computing OR Pass in OCR iMedia Level 2 OR any other relevant equivalent Technical Award Qualification
Grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics
