What are you doing now?Isobel Wild.jpg

I’m doing an apprenticeship at Airedale Hospital as an Appointment Clerk in Radiology, which once completed I will be offered a full-time job.

I chose Airedale for my apprenticeship as I’d already worked there for two years prior. It was something unique and different – I was being trained in something I loved and being paid at the same time.

What advice would you give your 17-year-old self?

Remember that you need to enjoy life and not stress about the little things. Enjoy things as they come and if something happens then and there, take the opportunity. Believe in yourself and follow your dreams!

What are you most proud of?

Achieving my GCSEs to go to college and proceed to complete my first year at Bishop Burton College studying Equine Sports Science and Coaching. I’m loving every minute of my apprenticeship!

My journey from South Craven to Craven College to Bishop Burton then to Airedale shows that you don’t have to do one thing in life and have to stick with that for your future career. You can change as long as you have your GCSEs and as many qualifications as possible, as this will mean you have wider opportunities to choose your future job and lifestyle.
