We are proud of our location and excellent transport links available to students.
There are plenty of ways for students to get to school - see below for details.
Bus passes can be obtained from www.wymetro.com/schools.
If you are new to school or have never applied for a Metro Card then you need to download a paper application to complete and post to Education Transport. If you have lost your card please contact the West Yorkshire Combined Authority hotline on 0113 3481122.
For information on free school travel, please see here.
We have been advised by West Yorkshire travel that all students who need boarding cards should have the correct one for the service they travel on. Queries regarding this should be addressed to Transdev (www.transdevbus.co.uk/keighley).
Our Sweeper Bus (440) leaves our bus park at 4.35pm from Monday to Thursday only.
This route covers Eastburn > Steeton > Silsden > Keighley Bus Station.
If you would like more information on assistance with travel, please contact the relevant transport providers.
We expect high standards of behaviour and conduct from our students travelling to and from school. Anyone misbehaving on buses is liable to have his/her bus pass withdrawn by the LEA for a fixed period of time. It will then be the individual’s responsibility to make alternative arrangements for getting to and from school.
As the oldest students on the bus, we also ask that you alert school if behaviour from younger students is not as you would or should expect.
There are bike sheds in front of the Glusburn building where students must leave their bike if they are cycling. Bikes must be secured with a padlock (brought by the student).
Students can apply to bring their car onto the school site.
There are ten spaces available between Year 12 and Year 13 students. Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
To apply for a permit, please complete the Google Form below.
Students are expected to adhere to the regulations of the car park. Any violation will result in the removal of the privilege.
Students can be dropped off at the main entrance or at Fieldhead Drive.
Our nearest train station is Steeton and Silsden.
Click here to apply for a 16-25 Railcard.
Trainline is not associated with South Craven School.
Students walking to school can enter through the main entrance at the front of school, or at the top of the school via Fieldhead Drive.
