What are you doing now?
I’m studying Modern Languages (Spanish, German and Chinese) at university.
Since leaving South Craven Sixth Form I’ve gained so much confidence in speaking in front of other people, which was always a problem for me. I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone and it has luckily paid off.
Because of my hard work I’ve also had opportunities offered to me such as a work placement at VW in Germany, which I will be doing in 2021 on my year abroad.
What advice would you give your 17-year-old self?
Work hard because you get out what you put in - something I've only realised since leaving Sixth Form. Everything works itself out eventually, no matter what path you end up going down.
What are you most proud of?
During my year abroad I will be studying at a university in China and attending a language school in Costa Rica at the end of my academic year. These are opportunities I am so excited for and have only dreamt of, so I’m proud of all the work I have put in to get there.
