Core Maths

If you want to keep up your valuable Maths skills, but not planning to take AS or A-Level Mathematics, this is the course for you.

At the end of this two-year course you will come out with a Level 3 qualification – with equivalent UCAS points to an AS Level.

Core Maths builds on GCSE Maths, with a sharper focus on applying Mathematics to solve problems relevant to everyday life. This includes financial applications of Mathematics, as well as further applied and statistical ideas that can support work in other subjects you will be studying, such as Engineering, IT, Psychology, Health Sciences, Geography and even History.

As this is the equivalent UCAS points to an AS level, we recommend you also do an EPQ as well as taking Core Maths.
