Congratulations to all our students in Year 13, who have achieved a brilliant set of results in A Level and BTEC subjects, despite the unprecedented circumstances of the past five months.
The effort, commitment and strength of character of this year group cannot be doubted and their excellent results, despite not being able to sit their exams in the summer, are fully deserved.
Andrea Taylor, Director of Sixth Form, said “Our students have shown such resilience through these challenging times. They have been a fantastic year group and we missed seeing them all on results day. We would like to wish them all the very best of luck in their future endeavours and hope they keep in touch with us all.”
As always, we will be offering our usual post-results support to any student who needs advice or guidance.
Once again, our students will be off to study a wide range of subjects at university, including Architectural History, Performance and Musical Theatre, Law, Chemistry and Engineering. Universities include Durham, Edinburgh, Oxford, UCEN Manchester and Teesside. Other students have taken up apprenticeship opportunities at Virgin Media, Carnaud Metal Box Engineering, Bam Nuttall Civil Engineering and Lark Architects. Other destinations include Airedale Hospital, The Army and the Royal Marines.
Thank you to parents and families who have provided so much support to our students and the school, especially during the difficult times. I would also like to thank all the staff at South Craven School for their hard work and strong commitment in making these results possible.
