Applied Science

We offer you the chance to combine knowledge and skills from the three scientific disciplines of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

There are a variety of units completed that cover material from all three sciences and are assessed in different ways. This course is ideal for students who enjoy the practical hands-on element of Science, prefer to be assessed in a variety of ways and do not wish to follow the traditional advanced courses.

You may also wish to pursue a scientific course in higher education or go into employment in the Science industry. You will learn by completing assignments that are based on realistic scenarios in the scientific workplace and studying relevant fundamental scientific concepts to develop your knowledge.

You will develop skills in three main categories – cognitive and problem-solving skills (critical thinking, systems and technology), intrapersonal skills (communication, collaborative working) and interpersonal skills (self-management, adaptability, resilience).
